Car damaged in suspected scam in Bradield St George

Police are urging car owners selling their vehicles to be vigilant, following a suspected scam in Bradfield St George.

On Monday 17 August between 6pm and 6.50pm, two males arrived to view a vehicle advertised for sale.  At some point the vehicle was left unlocked and unattended and it is believed that oil was put in the water expansion tank. 

This caused the engine to smoke when taken for a test drive.   The suspects have been persistent in their attempts to reduce the price of the vehicle.  No sale was made
